Dr Lisa Sharkey MA MB BChir FRCP is a Consultant Gastroenterologist working in Cambridge and the surrounding area. She qualified with First Class Honours from the University of Cambridge in 2004 and undertook most of her general and specialty training within the East of England.
Her clinical practice covers all areas of luminal Gastroenterology, with subspecialty expertise in Clinical Nutrition and Intestinal Rehabilitation. She has contributed to various journals and textbooks, including the upcoming Essentials of Nutrition (Elsevier). She was recently elected to the council of the International Intestinal Rehabilitation and Transplant Association.
She is passionate about nutritional education and regularly teaches and lectures on this. She is the national nutrition representative on the British Society of Gastroenterology Training Committee. Dr Sharkey is also a member by invitation of the NNedPro Global Centre for Nutrition and Health and a member of the International Academy of Nutrition Educators.
