Q. What type of conditions do you treat?

Q. Which insurers are you recognised with?

A. I am a recognised provider for Aetna, Aviva, Axa Health, BUPA, Cigna Healthcare, Helix Healthcare and VitalityHealth.

Q. Do you accept self funding patients?

A. Yes, I am happy to see self funded patients. For a 40 minute new appointment the charge is £240 and for a 20 minute follow-up appointment the charge is £150.

Q. Which private hospitals can I be seen at?

A. I work at the Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital and the Nuffield Hospital in Cambridge. Clinics are the Spire are on Wednesday afternoons or evenings and at the Nuffield clinics are held on Monday evenings.

Q. Which endoscopy services do you offer?

A. We offer diagnostic gastroscopy (OGD), sigmoidoscopy, ileoscopy and colonoscopy. We can also arrange video capsule endoscopy if that is needed

Q. What is Gastroenterology?

Gastroenterologists are doctors who investigate, diagnose, treat and prevent all gastrointestinal (stomach and intestines) and hepatological (liver, gallbladder, biliary tree and pancreas) diseases.

These include: diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy small bowel endoscopy endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) – an endoscopic technique mainly used to diagnose and treat bile duct and pancreatic duct conditions endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) intestinal and liver biopsy paracentesis (puncture of the wall of a cavity using a hollow needle) insertion of parenteral nutrition line (intravenous feeding lines) planning and aftercare…

Gastroenterologists are specialists in the digestive system and liver. We look after people with problems from the mouth to the anus. 

What diagnostic services are available?

Following a consultation we can offer a wide range of diagnostic services and therapies including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, polyp removal, oesophageal pH studies, manometry, breath tests, vide capsules, feeding tube (PEG) insertion and a range of blood and stool testing.

What treatments are available?

After a thorough consultation and diagnostics, we will be able to come up with a completely individualised plan for managing your symptoms or condition.
